June 14, 1944 – December 9, 2023
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of «Gump» Del Haddlesey on Dec. 9, 2023. After losing his loving wife Linda Haddlesey on Oct. 20, 2023. Their love for each other was truly deep. Del was lost without Linda, his heart was broken losing her.
Survived by stepson Bill (Liz) Embleton who cared for him since Linda’s passing, three sons, Dan, Dwayne, and Dean Haddlesey, two step daughters, Trisha and Shari, sister Marlene, cousin John (June) Lee, sister-in-law Doris Embleton and dear friends.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Linda and stepson Albert Embleton, two brothers and his parents.
Gump was known by many, he was a great performer through the years, his band «Father Time» performed many places and Jamboree’s, he and Linda loved going to Palmer Rapids and got married there. He put pen to paper so many times writing songs, he had a special way with words and it was a joy to listen to him play and sing. He had a wonderful gift.
Del owned and operated his business All Season’s Roofing until he sold that business, retired at the same time his wife Linda did, then spent this time together until Oct. 20, 2023.
You always knew where you stood with Gump and never had to guess. He always said what he thought. He had a great sense of humour, he also had certain words he used alot, those that knew him knows this.
To lose both Del and Linda so close together is heart breaking, they shared a great love and when he lost Linda it broke him, the love of his life. We thank God and are grateful for the time we had together and we know love doesn’t die, we will carry it with us each day. Thankful for the memories and conversations we had.
We know in time good will outweigh the bad, the hurt and the pain won’t be so raw. We will live on cherishing our time together. You will be and are missed and deeply loved. Both of you Gump and Linda.

At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at a charity of your choice.
