ROBSON, Roderick Gordon passed away December 2, 2023, in Vancouver, BC.
Gordon (or, as he preferred, ‘Gord’ or ‘Gordie’) was born May 16, 1945 in Westmount, Quebec, to Roderick Sylvester Robson and Janet Clarice Gordon.
Gord leaves behind a very loving family, including his wife of 48 years Linda Joan (Lewis) Robson, their son Christopher Robson and three extraordinary grandchildren, Owen, Dylan and Jordan, who will forever miss their “Fandad”; as well as sisters Eleanor Robson, Joan Andrews and a large and a loving family and group of friends spread out around Quebec, Ontario & BC. Gord was predeceased by his parents and a younger sister, Beverly Robson.
Gord worked for over 40 years as a journeyman printer, starting off his career in the family printing business at Robson Printers in Montreal, Quebec. With his wife Linda, Gord made the move out west to Vancouver, BC in 2006 where he began a second career working at Capilano Golf & Country Club on the grounds crew, incorporating his lifelong love of golf and the outdoors.
Gord had many hobbies including fishing, golf, refinishing antique furniture and sudoku. He was kind hearted and loved hearing a good story or joke. He laughed easily and was happiest when in the company of family and friends. He will be missed by many as he was always there to lend a helping hand.
At his request, no service will be held at this time. There will be a Celebration of Life in Montreal this summer.
