David Ruff
1943-2023
Following a brief illness, David George Ruff of Maple View, NB, passed
away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Friday, December
8, 2023.
David was born in England on August 20, 1943. He was the son of the
late Noah and Betty (Boyce) Ruff. David leaves behind his daughters,
Sandra Ruff (Peter Deering) of Carbonear, NF, Tanya Long (David) of
Kingston, ON, Christine Ruff of Drayton Valley, AB, Suzanne Rafuse
(Leslie Feener) of Edmonton, AB; his eight grandchildren and three
great grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Ruff of Plaster Rock, NB,
Barbara Green (Douglas) of Weaver, NB, Debbie Porter (Brian Dixon) of
Oxbow, NB, Pamela Nicholas of Fredericton, NB; his brother, John Ruff
of Two Brooks, NB; along with many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Theresa Ruff
(Coulombe); his brothers, Derek Boyce and Edward Ruff.
David served with Royal Canadian Airforce for numerous years and was a
member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 29.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock, NB, with visitation on
Monday from 12-2 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December
11, 2023 at 2 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Father Gilbert Doddatto
officiating. Interment will follow in the Burntland Brook
Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Burntland Brook Cemetery
or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 29, would be appreciated by the
family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
