Bruckler, Mary “Louise” (Avey) (January 29, 1943 – November 28, 2023)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Mary Louise Bruckler (Avey) announce her passing at the age of 80 years. Louise was born on January 29, 1943, to Allen & Eva Avey. Louise was the beloved wife and best friend of 60 years to Joseph (Joe) Bruckler. She was an amazing and loving mother to Greg (Kim) and Gary Bruckler (Michelle). Louise was the cherished grandma to Jordan (Kerilyn), Ryan, Sam, and Charlotte Bruckler. She was a much-loved Oma to Kashious & Cohen Bruckler. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Louise will be missed deeply by her brother John Avey (Pat) and brother-in-law Phil Bruckler (Kim Phillips). She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her parents Allen (2000) & Eva (2016) Avey (Neamtz), mother and father-in-law Filipp (1985) & Mary (2023) Bruckler, sister-in-law & Brother-in-law Cathy (2012) & Gary (2022) Marsland. Louise was a long-time employee at the Tillsonburg and District Memorial Hospital. She loved watching her grandsons, granddaughter and now her great grandsons playing sports. She enjoyed going to the Port Dover Theatre and her monthly luncheons with her close girlfriends.
In keeping with Louise’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place following a private family farewell. Everyone who knew Louise is invited to attend public visitation on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A public memorial service to celebrate Louise’s life and faith will be held on Friday, December 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, by Rev. Fr. Osita Oluigbo. All funeral attendees are invited to attend a reception, to be held immediately following the funeral, at the Royal Canadian Legion (16 Durham St., Tillsonburg). Inurnment will be held in the Tillsonburg Cemetery, in the spring of 2024.
