Obituary
Kenney, Susan Lucena – It is with sadness we announce the passing of Susan Lucena Kenney, age 59, of Clark’s Harbour NS at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on November 17th, 2023, with her close friend Ginny by her side. She was the daughter of the late Lucena “Joyce” and Gerald E. Kenney also of Clark’s Harbour. Susan was a graduate of Barrington Municipal High School. In her younger years she was a swimming instructor at Teddy Swimm Memorial Pool. She graduated from community college as a LPN and later graduated with a Business Certificate also from NSCC. She worked at Tim Hortons for 17 years eventually in a supervisory position. She also enjoyed her work at Register.com for several years where she was a valued and dedicated employee. Susan lived with lymphedema and yet worked very hard as long as her health allowed. Susan had a beautiful soul. She had a love for animals and especially her dear cats. We wish to thank the staff of Roseway Hospital, Yarmouth Hospital and Bayside Home for their care and compassion for Susan. Funeral arrangements are under the care of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium Limited, Barrington where cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service at the Oakvale Cemetery, Clark’s Harbour, NS on Friday November 24th at 3:00 pm. Donations in Susan’s honour may be made to the SPCA or charity of choice.
