After a happy and adventurous life, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of Muriel Alison How, while in the great care of the Hull Hospital, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Muriel was the mother to her son Roderick (Tena) and grandmother to Chelsea and Liam.
Muriel was born in London, England on September 28, 1931, and grew up with her parents Thomas and Elsie along with her brother Allen. Then, after the passing of her mother Elsie, she was in the loving care of her stepmother Jean. Muriel left England at a young age to travel around the world and ended up in Canada to earn money to travel to Australia. Lucky for everyone, she fell in love with Canada and decided to make it her home. She joined the Federal Government and had an illustrious career working on Parliament Hill and ending her career with CMHC. Muriel filled her life with adventurous travel, family, friends, sailing, tennis and Toastmasters.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Rte105, Wakefield, Quebec on
Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception back at Muriel’s home, 20 chemin Arthur, Chelsea, Qc.
