Andy passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, November 10, 2023, at home in Hastings, Ontario, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born July 7, 1947 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Survived by his wife Sandy, son Sean (Gillian), daughter Monique Rausch (Derrick), grandchildren Jordan (Patricia), Alex, Aarron, Alexis and Sydney, great granddaughter Aaliyah, and brothers Rob (Debbie) and Glen. Predeceased by his parents, John George Scammell and Norma Yvonne Coqui, step-father John (Jack) Hall and sister Michelle duPlessis (Steve).
Andy enjoyed many years of his career in the photo industry (with Kodak Canada, Konica Canada and Camera Connection Ltd.), where he made many lifelong friends.
With a sense of humour that would often have one shaking their head, Andy always enjoyed making others laugh. It was that same sense of humour that helped Andy navigate through the past several months.
Andy will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. In keeping with Andy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
