RICHARD “RICK” DENNIS SHEARER
April 7, 1954 – November 12, 2023
Unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday November 12, 2023, Richard Dennis Shearer, “Rick” of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 69 years.
Loving husband of 48 years to his wife Debbie. Supportive and hard-working father to Nichole (Derek) Shearer, the late April and the late Rachael.
Proud family taxi to his granddaughter Callie.
Also survived by brother-in-law to Mark Childs sister-in-law Dawn MacDonald, step-brother Jim Langohr and step-sister Pat Smith.
Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Ruth Shearer and step-mother Millie Shearer and sister Suzanne Shearer.
Rick is survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends. He was an avid collector of coins, loved his old cars, was a great fisherman and passionate about animals, especially his dog “Roxie”.
Friends and family are invited to Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON (519) 842-5221 for visitation on Wednesday November 15, 2023 from 11:30am until 2:00pm. The Funeral Service for Rick will begin at 2:00pm following the visitation. Cremation to follow the Funeral Service with interment at a later date.
Memorial donations in memory of Rick may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association and may be done online directly with the charity or via cheque at the Funeral Home. Condolences, stories and memories may be shared at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com
