Dallas Lance Philip Back Fat “Last Boy” Sakoisskomapi
With heavy hearts, the family of Dallas Lance Philip Back Fat announce his sudden passing on October 22, 2023, at the age of 38 years old.
Dallas of Siksika Nation was born in Calgary, AB July 28, 1985 and resided on Siksika Nation all his life. He is survived by his one and only son, his pride and joy Dally Back Fat. He was the youngest son to Ron and Linda Back Fat as well as the youngest of all his brothers: Shawn (Lori) Cutter, Tommy (Twyla S) Cutter, Cody (Marla WL) Back Fat, John Back Fat, Brennan Breaker, Dion (Lynn) Fast and Francis “Rocky” Cutter.
Dallas is survived by his uncles and aunties Clifton, Rex and Elliot Back Fat, Victor, Hector and Clayton Cutter, Julia Back Fat, Betty (Ron) Hewton, Marie Black Rider, Melvina (Clifford) Healy, Claudia (Joe) Patrick and Rachel First Rider.
Dallas was the favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, he loved them all unconditionally.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Philip and Jean Back Fat, Sam and Genevieve Cutter and his brother Trent Back Fat, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the families.
Dallas was a kind, humble and caring man, always willing to lend a helping hand and most enjoyed helping his brothers and older cousins do Ranch/Branding work. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his favorite Football Team Dallas Cowboys. He was a single father which he took proudly and last couple years of his life you would not see Dallas without Dally, they were inseparable. He enjoyed his movies of all kind and was known to recite clips of his favorite movies.
He also leaves to mourn his many relatives from the Many Wounds, Many Guns, Cutters, Big Tobacco, Black Rider families. The family apologizes if we forgot to mention anyone as this is a very trying and difficult time for us.
Wake Service will be held at John Back Fat’s Residence, Map 2 House # 142 (Stobart Area) on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 6:00 pm. Funeral Service at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Cluny, AB Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11:00 am. Gravesite Service to follow at Canon Stockton Cemetery. Feast to follow at John Back Fat’s Residence.
