In Loving Memory of Ali Saberi
Ali Saberi, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and member of the Bahá’í community, peacefully passed away in the comforts of his home on the 21st of October. He was 95 years old.
Born in the town of Eghlid in the Fars Province of Iran, Ali’s life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to family, faith, and community. He is survived by his beloved wife, Zari, and their three children, Helen, Hoveida and Hamed. Ali’s legacy extends through generations, as he was a grandfather to Arash, Alma, Tara, Ashkan S, Ashkan Y, Parisa, Samin, and Sahra. He was also a great-grandfather to Saffron, Opal, Rumi, Ariya, and Lumi.
Ali’s dedication to the Bahá’í Faith was a guiding light in his life. He served his community and its institutions in Iran with passion and devotion, working tirelessly to promote unity and the principles of the faith. He was a source of inspiration and support to many, known for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity.
In his old age, Ali Saberi became a much-loved and respected member of the Lindsay Bahai community and the housing estate where he and Zari resided. He was cherished for his warmth, wisdom, humour, and the love he extended to all.
While we mourn the loss of Ali Saberi, we also celebrate a life marked by a profound love for family, a deep spiritual connection, and a legacy of service to his fellow human beings. He leaves behind a lasting impact that will be remembered and treasured by all those whose lives he touched.
A private funeral will be held on Friday 27th of October. A memorial service will be held in Ali’s honour on the 28th of October.
