Obituary
Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Owen Sound Gardens on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Born in Thorold, Ontario, on August 18, 1934, Patricia Jane Morton (nee Petch) later moved to Kemble in 2005. Pat was in her 90th year.
Beloved wife and best friend for 67 years of the late Alex Morton. Loving mother of Kim (Tom) Doherty and the late Gary Morton. Cherished grandma of Rob, Stacey, Michelle, Brad, Sean, Ian, Rachel and Jonathan. Great grandma of Zachary, Torrun, Astrid, Leia, Nora, Kyha, Athena and Wilder. Dear sister of John (Joanne) Petch and sister in law of Roger Morton.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Petch, sister Norma (Pat) Roach and sister in law Marie Morton.
Patricia, Pat, and Trish were all names that her friends and family knew her by. She was a very kind and loving person to everyone she met. She made some wonderful friends at the retirement homes she lived in (Kelso Villa and Owen Sound Gardens).
We will miss her very much.
A sincere thank you to the staff at Owen Sound Gardens for the amazing care and many kindnesses they provided to Mom over the past year and a half. Also, a thank you to the staff at Bright Shores Health System, Oncology Department, Dr. Sandu and Dr. McIver for your kindness and special care you showed towards Mom.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
