It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ed Rideout of Burin Bay Arm announce his passing at the US Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence on October 16, 2023 at the age of 76.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Audrey Rideout, of 53 years; son Ray Rideout of San Jose, CA; grandchildren Max and Molly; siblings, Hilary (Shirley) of Marystown, John (Agnes) of Little Bay, Theresa (Jerry) Caines of Marystown, Juliette Lee of St. Mary’s, Hubert (Cathy) of Marystown, Adelaide Coombs (Wayne ) of Marystown, Martin (Debbie) of Collin’s Cove, Jerome (Susan) of Deer Lake; sister-in-law Ann Rideout of Mount Pearl; brothers-in-law, Rick Joyce of Burin Bay Arm, Pad Lundrigan of Burin; special niece Danielle Fitzpatrick; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
Ed was preceded in death his parents, Mary and Edward Rideout; parents-in-law Marie and Richard Joyce; sister Elizabeth Yetman (Hughie); brothers, Mike Rideout, Isaacs Rideout (Roberta), Walter Rideout; sisters-in-law, Donna Lundrigan, Elaine Abbott (John); brother-in-law Brian Lee.
A sincere thank you to the staff at the Blue Crest Nursing home and US Memorial Health Centre for the kindness and care; a special thank you to special buddy, Nicholas.
The Rideout Family will be having visitation on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 12 noon to 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Burin. A Cerebration of Life for Ed will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, 11:00am, at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Burin, NL. Inurnment will follow at Bethany United Church Cemetery in Burin Bay Arm.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Bethany United Church Cemetery Fund
