CRESSMAN-WEISS: Janice Marjorie Elizabeth «Jan» (nee Weiss) – passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener. Jan Cressman-Weiss of New Dundee in her 81st year.
Loving mother of Mike of Waterloo and Jeff & his late wife Michelle (2016) of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jaydon & Sara. Dear sister of Jim & Marie Weiss of Waterloo.
Predeceased by her parents Harold & Merle (Cuthbertson) Weiss.
Jan started her working career in the classified department of the K-W Record. Following that Jan became a well known local Artist who shared her love of art by teaching it to many. She was a active member of St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee and was very active in making Prayer Blankets for the community. Over the years she was active in the 4-H and was a founding member of the Kitchener -Waterloo Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes. Jan lived her entire life on the same family farm land.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. New Hamburg on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from St. James Lutheran Church on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00am. Interment later in Union Cemetery, New Dundee.
