Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre on October 13, 2023, Mrs. Rowena Ruby Pilgrim, she was 88 years of age.
Predeceased by her parents Albert and Jemina Goudie, brothers Victor and Adolphus and sisters Effie and Eliza.
Leaving mourn her loving husband Edgar, son Felix Pilgrim (Kelly) and daughter Brenda Hemmeon (Clayton); brothers, Wesley Goudie (Beulah), Arthur Goudie (Emma), sister in law Eva Goudie, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As well as other relatives and friends.
Rowena was a member of the Salvation Army Glover’s Harbour Corps and served as the Corps treasurer for 33 years. She was also a member of the Home League for many years, which she enjoyed attending. The family of Rowena would like to thank the management and staff of Islandside Manor Leading Tickles for the care given to Rowena during the four years that she lived there.
Thank you to the nursing staff on Unit A of the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood for the tender loving care shown to Rowena in her final days. Thank you also to Dr. Rafel Munir for the years of compassionate care to Rowena, your thoughtfulness and kindness will always be remembered. To our family and friends, thank you for your love and support during these days.
