Obituary of John David Towell

John passed away on Sunday October 1 after a long battle with heart disease. He’s made his way to the best golf course in heaven. John was also a baseball star winning many trophies in his youth. He will be joining his parents Garvin Towell (Elaine Gratton Towell) and Darlene Tucker with brother Sean Mathurin (Martha) who predeceased him. He leaves behind; sisters Deb Laut (Dave), Kim Larocque (Scott), Julie Squirrell (Jaime), Lainie Towell (Antonio) all of whom are still laughing at his one liners and missing him greatly. Best uncle ever to Ashley and Dylan, Jesse and Danika, Cameron, Jade, Brandy, Liam and Ryan. John will be fondly remembered and loved by his many friends including the Laurentian High School alumni and all his close and extended families.
A special thank you to the Ottawa Heart Institute especially Carita Kerola for their amazing care. Donations in memory of John Towell can be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
A Celebration of John’s Life with family and friends will be held at St Louis’ Bar & Grill on Clyde Avenue, Ottawa. This Friday, October 6 from 6pm to 9pm
