It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Duane Donald Mooring, beloved husband of Shirley Buchanan Mooring, wife of 69 years and father of Charlene White (James) and Lesa Jack (Andrew). Adored son of the late Neil and Mary Mooring of Collingwood Corner, Nova Scotia and brother to Elinor Mintz of Mississauga, Ontario. Cherished Papa to Missy and Great Papa to Max, Ryatt and Remi.
Duane passed away at home in Woodville, Ontario, surrounded by family after a brief illness. He was an auto worker and long time employee of PPG Canada for 30 plus years. Prior to that he also served in Europe and Canada with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry from 1951-1954.
At Duane’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has already taken place and he will be laid to rest at a later date in his beloved Nova Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation of Canada cpff.ca/ or the veteran Poppy Fund at legion.ca/remembrance/the-poppy-campaign/donate-to-the-poppy-fund in Duane’s memory, if desired.
