Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Wednesday, September 28, 2023. Born in Owen Sound on September 11, 1957, Karen Wanda Henderson (nee Rennie) of Owen Sound, was in her 67th year.
Beloved wife of Albert of Owen Sound. Loving mother of Clark Henderson (Christina) of Sauble Beach, Kelly Henderson (Justin Legourrierec) of Owen Sound and Kristy Andre (Phil) of Owen Sound. Cherished Ama of Cohen. Dear sister of Darlene Clarke (Dave) of Meaford, Shelley Beausejour (Peter Everett) of Nova Scotia and Shannon McCutcheon of Georgian Bluffs. Dear sister-in-law of Marty Henderson (Dorothy) of Bracebridge. Wanda will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her father Hugh Rennie, her in-laws Clarkson and Marie Henderson and by her brother-in-law Wayne McCutcheon.
Wanda was proud to work the switchboard at Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound for 35 years. She loved spending time with her grandson Cohen and enjoyed nature, playing games, puzzles, craft shows, movies and her pets.
A memorial service to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
