Obituary
William Roy VanWyck born April 17th 1971 passed away peacefully on September 4th 2023.
Loving partner of Tara Frivalt. Proud father of Ashley VanWyck(Andrew) and Amber VanWyck(Andrew) and stepfather of Jessie Waite. Billy was a very proud Papa to Emery Kernichen and Azriella Polson. Billy will be deeply missed by his father Fred VanWyck, Brother Pat (Vicki) Sister Lori Fossold (Jason) and nephews Jerrid and Thomas Fossold. Billy will also be deeply missed by all of his aunt’s, uncles, cousins, Metis community and many friends including his beloved dog, Juny-B.
Predeceased by his mother Mary Van Wyck, Grandparents William and Phyllis Brennan and Jack and Dorris (Teen) VanWyck.
Billy was a involved citizen of the Great Lakes Metis where he sat on council as Secretary. He had a great love for his Metis culture and loved being out in nature. From fishing to hunting or harvesting wild morels, leaks or puff balls. He really felt his most peace when being one with nature. Billy also enjoyed taking long bike rides on his Harley. There is no question the one thing Billy will ever be remembered for by many and that was his food. He was an amazing cook, long live the Billy Burger. Billy was a fantastic gardener, he always had the biggest and best plants. May you rest peacefully Billy in eternal heaven, god bless.
Celebration of Life for Bill will be held Thursday September 14th, 2023 from 4pm -5pm at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, 1450 2nd Ave W, Owen Sound, ON with a reception to follow at the Legion.
