Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late William Charles Jesso announce his peaceful passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 at the age of 92 years. William was the son of the late Charles and Louise Jesso (nee Young). He was also predeceased by: his first wife; Lorraine Cormier, sons: Jerry (Heather) Jesso, Peter (Kim) Jesso, Randy (Kathy) Jesso, brother; Walter (Margaret) Jesso, sisters: Maggie (Mary) Cormier and Ida Jesso.
He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories: his wife; Mary Gladys Jesso (nee Hynes), children: Jacqueline Jesso Mavec (Andrew), Florence (Dan), Perry (Dorothy), Cecil (Evelyn), Louise (Terry), Eric (Crystal), and Shirley (Winston). He also leaves behind his siblings; Clayton Jesso, Annie Curnew, Irene Benoit (Finty), Arnold Jesso (Joan), Nolan Jesso (Lewina), Allan Jesso (Carina), Linda Cormier, Diana Wournell (Bernie), Martin Jesso (Audrey), Loretta Jesso (Willie), and Donald Jesso, plus a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
William was a kind, loving man who enjoyed spending time planting potatoes in his garden. He had a passion for fishing, enjoying the outdoors, and loved taking care of his horses. He will forever remain in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from the Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piccadilly. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piccadilly on Tuesday, September 5th at 10:30 am officiated by Father Gerald Patry. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Piccadilly. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations in William’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
