JOHNSTON, Alvin James ~ Sept. 8, 1941 – Aug. 31, 2023 – Entered into rest peacefully with family by his side, at the Ross Memorial Hospital. Al at the age of 81, was the beloved husband to Sharon Johnston. Loving Dad to Brad Johnston, Jeff Johnston, Tyler Tomlinson (Patty) and predeceased by Derrick Tomlinson (Shelley). Cherished Grandpa to Holly Lepage (Cameron), Avery Lofton (Emmanuel), Emma Tomlinson (Harry Jackson), Logan Tomlinson, and Eve Tomlinson. Great-Grandpa to Sawyer Lepage. Dear brother to Rae Osborne (the late Raymond), Francis Johnston (Donna), Shirley Dickinson (Duane), David Johnston (Jewel) and predeceased by Vivian Rider (Jim). Al will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 12:00pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00pm. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Kawartha Lakes, or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
