Obituary
Louise Newhook, age 70, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Louise was predeceased by her parents Henri Caissie and Excede Bourgeois, two brothers Timothe and Raymond; sister Marguerite.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Sterling; three sons Mark, David, Timothy (Sarah). She will also be missed by her six brothers, Jean (Cindy), Roger (Darlene), Henri, Jacques, Norbert and Gerald (all from New Brunswick); seven sisters Alma, Anges, Christine (Rheal), all from Ontario; Jacinthe of Alberta; Lea, Brigitte, and Jeanne (Gordon), all from New Brunswick. Among a large extended family that will greatly miss her are her six beautiful grandchildren Tyson, Emma, Joshua, Matthew, Olivia and Katelyn, as well as Debbie Mills who she cared for over several years and considered her as family.
Louise had an aspiration as a young woman to be a nun, and even though she didn’t pursue that dream, she still lived a life serving others and was the most selfless person you could ever meet. Louise got her nursing education in Ontario and started work at the hospital in Botwood as a LPN in the early 70’s, where she flourished in helping and caring for others, as well as volunteering her services whenever and wherever she was needed. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Louise can attest to the fact that she had a heart that was bigger than herself and a strong a strong faith in God and prayer. Even after retiring from the hospital, she spent her time ensuring other people were doing well and helping out wherever she could. She especially doted on her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her absence in our community will be certainly felt, she was an angel among us.
