Obituary of Maria Teresa Filice
With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Maria at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of 81. We take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her devoted husband Amedeo, who passed away only 11 weeks ago. Loving mother and friend of Gino (Anna), Frankie (Sandra), Roni (Carmelina) and Deni (Lori). Proud Nonna of Natalie, Nick, Maria, Luca, Christina, Victoria, Amedeo Jr and Maximus. Maria will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and the Filice and Flammia families in Windsor, Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie, and Italy.
Maria had a love for her family. Her greatest joy was keeping her bountiful table filled for her family and friends, with her world famous genetti’s, mouthwatering apple pie, and her heart-warming pizza. Her grandkids provided her with extra love and were the light of her life.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Critical Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
