Obituary of Shirley Morgan (née Allington)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Morgan – a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished friend, known by many as “Grandma”. Shirley passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 7, 1930, Shirley will always be remembered for her kind and caring nature, which touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Sarah Allington, and her brother, George.
Shirley shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Henry Morgan. The two would often take day trips to the theatre and annual winter vacations in Florida, creating memories that remained close to her heart.
Shirley is survived by her loving children, Kimberley (Peter) Brown, Leslie and Denis and her cherished grandchildren, Shaye (Damian), and Joseph. Saturday mornings were a special time for Shirley as she enjoyed the company of her children. Breakfast, shopping and walks on the beach became cherished traditions that filled her and her children’s days with happiness.
Her legacy of love, kindness and devotion to her family will forever remain an enduring light in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Shirley. You will be forever missed and remembered.
Family and friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 10-11 a.m.
Service will follow in the Evans Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to a charity of choice in memory of Shirley.

living memorial to Shirley Sarah Morgan.
