We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Renia Britstone, beloved wife of the late Meyer Z”L, proud mother of Shoshanah “Rosie” Madoff (Jeffrey), Martin Britstone Z”L, and Toby Britstone. Loving “Bubbe” to Leah, Ari (Janina), Ava, Zak, and Maya (her “pupale”). Adored Great-Grandmother (“Baba”) to Levi, Max, and Sonny.
Resilient, intelligent and fiercely devoted matriarch to her family. She was the ultimate survivor, having overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges and tests throughout her life. From the Łódź and Warsaw Ghettos to Mjadanic, Auschwitz and the death marches after liquidation, she survived it ALL and celebrated the blessings of her survival by devoting her energies to the success and well being of her family, whom she always treated as her greatest treasure in life. A completely one-of-a-kind person who will never be forgotten and can never be replaced.
