O’BRIEN, Phyllis Lottie – Entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 7, 2023. Phyllis at the age of 82, was the beloved wife of the late John O’Brien. Survived by her dear sister Reta McNutt and Mildred Langille, predeceased by Hilda Eagles, Lois Stone, Muriel McNutt, Bamford Rushton, and by parents Ralph and Gertrude Rushton, all of Nova Scotia. Mother to Michael Price. She will be remembered by Jack’s children; Maureen O’Brien, Dan O’Brien (the late Kim), Paula Williams and Kelly O’Brien (the late Al Middleton), and his grandchildren; Shannon Bulmer, Jeremy Bulmer (Judi-Dawn), Bridgid (Jake), the late Meghan O’Brien, Michael O’Brien, and Jacob Robinson (Katie), and 5 great-grandchildren. A visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, August 16th from 1:00pm until time of funerals service in the chapel at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Douro. If desired, a memorial donation to the Ross Memorial Hospital, Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ross Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit and Community Care transportation service for their exceptional care of Phyllis for almost 15 years, to Dr. Francis and nurse’s, at the Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative care unit for the compassionate care and Caressant Care Retirement Home on Mary Street for the past few years for making Phyllis feel comfortable.
