Beattie, Gordon «Ted»
A resident of Chatham, formerly of Blenheim, Ted Beattie passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 98.
He was the son of the late Gordon & Vanessa (nee Adair) Beattie.
Ted is reunited with his late wife, Ruth Beattie (nee Rankin, 2011) and will be remembered always by his loving partner, Helen MacKenzie.
Devoted father of Doug Beattie (Wendy), Dennis Beattie (Linda) & Charlie Beattie (Nancy).
Proud grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather of many.
Brother of Mike Beattie (Barb), and predeceased by his sisters, Betty and Emma.
Survived by sister-in-law, Carol Medley (the late Stuart).
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Family to receive friends on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
In memory of Ted, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or charity of choice.
