Evelyn Marshall (nee Harris) was born to Herbert & Harriet Harris. Evelyn was raised on the Harris Farm near Somme, Sask. Along with her siblings Florence, Art and Roy, they moved to Harding, Manitoba for a couple of years while her father was in the army. They missed the farm so returned to Somme. Evelyn received her education to grade eight in a one room school.
At the age of 15 Mom entered the work force. She worked housekeeping around Somme until she was invited by a friend Kathy Kirk to come to Melfort to work for a family near Melfort.
Here Evelyn met her future husband and life partner Murray Marshall. Murray & Evelyn married July 3, 1953. To this union they had 8 children; Linda Marshall, Herb (Terri), Carol (Rob), Maryann (Bob Burvil), Laurie (Maurice Gaudry), Howard (Jackie), Marie (Kevin Crozon), Carla (Darren Flaata)
She also had 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Numerous nieces, nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Murray, son-in-law Maurice Gaudry, her parents Herbert & Harriet Harris, sister Florence, brother Art (Eva), sisters-in-law Jean Harris, Ruth Marshall, her father and mother-in-law David & Elsie, brothers-in-law Mort (Gertie), Ward Marshall.
