It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Earle Jonathan Wagg announce his sudden passing. Jon passed away at his residence in Edmonton, AB on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, at the age of 49.
Jon was born and grew up in Burin with his two brothers, he brought much joy to our family. As a child, Jon was very adventurous, fun loving and energetic. He had a love for dirt bikes, quads and anything fast. He had an abundance of friends and was loved by many. As he made his own way in the world, he obtained the course outline and books for the three year Non Destructive Testing Welding Technology program, studied and challenged the exam successfully to make him the youngest to be certified as a CGSB Radiologist Technician in Canada. Jon started his career in the oilfields of BC and continued in the industry creating his own successful business in Edmonton – Wagg Brother’s Enterprises Ltd.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his father, Jerry; brothers, Jamie (Delores) and Jeremy (Carla); nephew Trevor and niece Megan; aunt, Mary Crouch of Halifax; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Jon was predeceased by his mother Ruth Wagg; grandparents, Walter & Harriet Wagg; Uncle Keith Wagg.
The Wagg Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Burin on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Jon’s Life will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Burin on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow at the Collin’s Cove United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jon’s memory may be made to the family to pass along to charities selected by the family to honor Jon’s life.
