It is with loving hearts but hope in God’s promises that the family announces the peaceful passing of Palmina Iacobelli on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the age of 92 years. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Vicalvi, Italy. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, faithful Christian and dedicated friend. Palmina touched the hearts and lives of so many. God blessed Palmina with an amazing and abundant life filled with a close and loving family, wonderful friendships, and countless cherished experiences. Her legacy of love for her family and friends, serving God through her Christian walk, zeal for life and endless generosity to others will be forever cherished. We honour and pay tribute to an amazing woman who meant so much too so many.
Palmina was predeceased by her parents, Attilio and Fiorina DiDonato; husband Angelo; brother Algiso (Quirina) and brother-in-law, Pietro. Palmina will be dearly missed by her sons, Fr. Anthony, Mauro (Kathleen) and grandchildren that she cherished: Ruby, Stella, and Gabriel; her dear sister Emma; brothers, Loreto (Lina) and Valerio (Fiorina); nieces, Franca, Iris, Grace, Patricia; nephews, David; as well as nieces and nephews in Italy.
She married Angelo Iacobelli in 1952, and then lived together in Toronto for Forty-eight years before relocating to Villa Giardino in Vaughan.
She and her husband Angelo worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their sons. Palmina’s greatest love was her family.
It would be wrong to say that Palmina lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Palmina stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Palmina. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost the fight.
Mom leaves behind endless, cherished memories and a legacy that will remain forever with all who knew and loved her. We love you mom, miss you dearly, but look forward to that glorious day when we meet again.
A visitation for Palmina will be held at the DeMarco funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, On. tel:905.850.9500) on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following day Tuesday, July 4, 2023 for 9:00 a.m. at St. David’s Parish (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr. E, Maple, On.) with an interment service to immediately follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7300 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, On.)

Reservations or RSVPs are no longer required to attend your family’s visitation or funeral. Rest assured that even though the governments regulations continue to change and lift, our team will be constantly monitoring and disinfecting all areas of our home to ensure that all visitors are kept safe.
