Our Mother (1939-2023)
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Myrna MacEachern (Desabrais) of Chateauguay, Quebec on June 12th ,2023. She fought hard after suffering a stroke on April 22, she passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends, joining her late husband Lionel Desabrais who passed away on May 6, 2023.
Throughout her life she was a dedicated and hard-working individual who achieved many things including a successful career in various industries. She worked at Boyles Partners in her early years where she met her loving husband, Lionel. She was very successful running an Avon business, her last position was held at the Montreal Children’s hospital prior to her retirement where she made a significant impact on those around her. Her attention to detail were admired by all who knew her. Mom was a dedicated mother, and second mother to many of her children’s friends. She excelled in baking and cooking and her creations were enjoyed by all who knew her. She was an avid reader and delighted in arts and crafts, creating cherished keepsakes that will be treasured by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mom was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother forever remembered by her children Sherry-Lee (Ami Peer) Renee Desabrais (James Puskas) Chad Desabrais, Andre Desabrais (Denyse Deschamp) and her eldest son Michel Hugh Desabrais who passed away before his time on Oct 2,2019. All her grandchildren Joshua, Ashley, Mikhail, and Ariel Peer, Danielle and Michael Hart, John Paul, Kingston and Tyler Desabrais and Amanda Flett, Selena, Rhiannon and Sheridan Desabrais and her 11 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth (Robert Wright), Elaine (Michael Grandin), Nancy MacEachern (Conrad Theriault), Teresa (Kevin Johnston), and brother Graham MacEachern, Lynn Nicoletta, Louise (Real Brunet), Lee (Claude Turcotte) Donna MacEachern and all her nieces, nephews, brother and sister- in- laws; and predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Genevieve MacEachern and sisters Gail Johnston and Judith MacEachern (Andre Lapointe)
A Funeral Service, for our beloved mother, is scheduled for Sunday June 25, 2023 visitations will be between the hours of 12pm and 1:30pm, with a service in the chapel from 1:30-2:30 pm at
