Barbara F. Morgan Bateman – age 90 of Knoxville passed away peacefully surrounded on her family on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Member of Alice Bell Baptist Church. Barbara was a graduate of UT Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse at East TN Baptist Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Preceded in death by husband, Charles L. Bateman; and parents, Dan I. and Trula M. Morgan.
Survived by sons, Steve (Debbie) Bateman of Greer, SC, Phillip (Ashley) Bateman of Corryton, TN; grandchildren, Kent (Ana) Bateman of Knoxville, TN, Greg (Amber) Bateman of Taylors, SC, Peyton M. Bateman of Corryton, TN, Hannah G. Bateman, of Corryton, TN, and Elliana Grace of Corryton, TN; and great grandchildren, Whitaker, Norah, Corban and Rohan Bateman. Special thanks to UT Medical Hospice Care, Care Around the Block, and neighbors, Ben, Marcia and Roz.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Bateman officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral service. There will be a private interment.
