Obituary of Elizabeth Helen Weatherbie
Elizabeth Helen Weatherbie, now gone to be with Billy and the boys was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI. Born in Middleton, PEI on February 13, 1936, Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Lorna, son Michael (Doreen), and daughter-in-law Carrie. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Elizabeth will be missed by her brothers Leonard Roberts, deceased (Elva), Lorne Roberts (Honey), and Gerry Roberts (Teresa), as well as her sisters Austina Garnhum, Bertha Lawless (Neville), and Connie McCabe (Bernard). She was predeceased by her husband, William «Bill» Weatherbie, sons Patrick and Leonard, and brother-in-law Blaine.
Elizabeth’s joy and passion were her family and she was always eager for family gatherings and loved to create happy memories. Throughout her life, Elizabeth worked in sales where she exercised her excellent interpersonal skills.
Elizabeth’s warm presence, love, and support will be remembered and cherished by all those who were fortunate to know her. The lasting impact she made on her family and friends will serve as an enduring tribute to her beautiful soul.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home. At Elizabeth’s request, no funeral or visitation will be held. A small graveside service will be held 12:30 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Memorial donations may be made online to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
