It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Vanessa Rose Lockyer of Lawn announces her passing. Vanessa passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at the age of 49.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her mom, Rose Lockyer; sisters, Colleen Kearney (Eugene), Jill Strang (Randy), Bertha Lockyer (Tristan & Mallory), Lindsey Tarrant (Ryan); brother, Toby Lockyer (Ellen), nieces and nephews, Allan, Shane, Tristan, Rosanne, Heidi, Lucas, Mallory, Jenna, Fallon, Toby, Hunter, and Ryder; fifteen great nieces and nephews; all the homecare workers that touched her life, especially Pearl and Beatrice, who were with her from beginning to end; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Vanessa was predeceased by her father, William Lockyer; grandparents, David & Elizabeth Drake; William & Rebecca Lockyer; Aunt Christina Cox, Uncles Ern Drake and Gus Drake, and all deceased members of the Lockyer family.
The Lockyer Family will be accepting visitors at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lawn on
Saturday, June 10th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Sunday, June 11th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lawn on Monday, June 12th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
In Vanessa’s memory donations or flowers gratefully accepted.
