Passed suddenly but peacefully May 17, 2023, after an injury. Born January 21, 1992, beloved only child of William and Kathleen Trayner. Liz was of Indo-Fijian/Samoan heritage, born in New Westminster, and adopted at just 13 days old.
Predeceased by grandparents James and Phyllis Trayner. Survived by her grandparents Jean and George Worden, Doug Worden/Susan Brooks, Paul and Barb Trayner, Henk and Mary Luyten, Jim and Anne Trayner, many cousins, extended family and countless close friends.
Attended St. Patrick’s, St. Andrew’s and Camosun College. She travelled to Thailand, France, Ireland and Quebec. She was courageous, determined and touched so many people with her kind heart. The last years saw a rare passion for social justice and the homeless. She rejoiced in nature, all beaches, and warm summers camping with family throughout BC. She loved all creatures, especially her beloved dog Chomper.
A Funeral Mass and reception will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, Friday, June 16, 2023, at 12:10 pm. All are welcome. Flowers welcome, but please consider donations to the Umbrella Society or any charity for the homeless.
