GUARDARI Jocelyn (Josie) (nee: Fabiani) – Peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday May 30th, 2023, Jocelyn Guardari passed away at the age of 62 after a brief but fierce battle with cancer.
Best friend and beloved wife of Frank Guardari for 38 years. Loving mother of Cassandra (Kyle) Holder, Vincent (Alissa) Guardari, and Luca Guardari. Nanna will forever be in the hearts of her grandchildren Hayden, Lana, and Kara. Josie is lovingly remembered by her mother Angela Fabiani. She will be greatly missed by her sister Rosemary (Frank) Munger, her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Josie is predeceased by her father Giuseppe Fabiani (2011).
Josie was an avid gardener who loved tending to her flowers. Her garden was her pride and joy that brought beauty to her neighbourhood. Josie loved to travel and took her loving family on many magical vacations to Walt Disney World including one last trip with her granddaughter earlier this year. Ohana (Family) was a very important part of her life. Her spirit will live on through the many blessings and lessons bestowed upon her children.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Norma and Cosimo Sgambelluri, Richard Christopher, Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the amazing staff at Hospice Niagara.
The family will receive relatives and friends at H. L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 W Main St, Welland on Friday June 2nd, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 3rd at 11am at the Parish Community of St. Kevin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to two of Josie’s favourite charities that have enriched the life of her family; Help a Child Smile and Make-a-Wish Canada.
