Eldon St. Peter
1933-2022
Eldon Charles St. Peter was born on July 15, 1933, in Lerwick, NB, and
passed away peacefully at his residence in Burntland Brook, NB, on
October 26, 2022, at the age of 89.
Eldon was predeceased by his former wife, Lois Hanson; his sons, James
and Wade St. Peter; his granddaughters, Brandy St. Peter and Tammy St.
Peter; also his parents, Elmer and Pearl (McQuade) St. Peter; his
sisters, Anna, Idella, Lydia, and Marilyn; his brothers, Clarence,
Delbert, Loomis, Marven, and Ollis.
Eldon is survived by his daughters, Violet Parish (Bobby) of Alberta,
Betty St. Peter (Ross) of McLaughlin, NB; his sons, Allen St. Peter of
Plaster Rock, NB, David St. Peter (Carol) of Oxbow, NB, Joseph St.
Peter of Plaster Rock, NB, and Eldon St. Peter Jr. (Edith) of
Alberta.
Eldon also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Emma Rioux of
Quebec; his brother, Evans St. Peter of Lerwick, NB.
Eldon served in Germany and Korea during the Second World War. He
worked as a trucker and a mechanic throughout his life.
Eldon enjoyed hunting and fishing and owned his own sporting camps on
the Tobique River. Some of the memories of Dad we will cherish are
seeing him sitting on his back lawn overlooking the Tobique River as
it ran by, watching the deer or moose in the field on the other side
of the river, the geese nesting on the shore, him feeding the deer in
winter from his living room window…
You will always be in our hearts Dad. Love your family, Violet, Betty,
David, Allen, Joe, and Junior.
A graveside service will be held at Burntland Brook Cemetery on
Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1 pm.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
