In Loving Memory of Shelley Houser (nee Kershaw)
Peacefully passed away at home on May 13, 2023 after a short illness. Shelley leaves behind her beloved partner Larry Clarke and is survived by her sister Karen of Whitby, nephew Mark Pickford and his wife Kristine of St. Albert AB, and nephew Stephen of Scarborough.
For most of her career in Law Firm Management, Shelley resided in Toronto, however, she always considered Gull Lake as her Home. In 2008 she moved to Haliburton with her partner Larry. Shelley was very passionate about her quilting which provided her joy every day. She donated beautiful quilts to many causes. She was a strong advocate for fairness, accountability, and ethical standards for our communities. She will be greatly missed for her laughter and solid friendship.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0 on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. An family interment will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Orillia at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Victoria Cancer Centre, Barrie or Places for People, Haliburton County would be appreciated.
