Peacefully at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice in Cobourg on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, Virginia Mitchell (nee Hallett) at 91 years of age. Beloved wife of the late William Neil Mitchell. Dear mother of Fiona Mitchell, Alan Mitchell (Rose), Jocelyn Clarey (Tim), and Graham Mitchell (France). Grandmother of Darryl, Kylie, Jayme, Mark, Jessica, Stephanie, Liam and great grandmother of three great grandchildren. Dear sister of Ronald Hallett (Betty). Sister-in-law of Jim Mitchell (Sheila) and the late Fiona Belleghem (the late Gord). Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the amazing care mom received over the last 2 years within Palisade Garden’s Harmony Memory Care. Also, to the Doctors, Nurses and PSW’s on 2B at Northumberland Hills Hospital and the incredible staff at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice. A group of health care providers at their best. Cremation with a Celebration of Life Service at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg, on Monday, May 15th , visitation from 11 to 12 noon with service and reception to follow. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice or to SickKids Foundation.
