Obituary
Mr. James Russell William Hudson of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Roxanne Lynn Hudson, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 49 years.
James, fondly known as Russ, was born April 24, 1973. Russ was raised by his loving mother, Bobbie Nicholson. Russ and Bobbie were very close and always had each other’s back. He went to school in Westminster, BC. One of Russ’ good school friends was Chris Klaiber. Chris and Russ remained good friends throughout their lives. Another close friend of Russ was Eric Rivet. Russ and Eric always found fun shenanigans to occupy their time together such as biking in the coulees. One of Russ’ favourite pastimes was going for coffee at McDees. Russ would always meet with his “Bestie” Mike Gagnon. Those two buddies always gave each other a “hard time” about anything and everything, which created a unique strong bond of “Besties”.
Russ met Roxy in May of 2006. Their relationship grew fast and strong. They married in August of 2007 in the Crowsnest Pass. Throughout their years together, they went on a few trips including Mexico, Vancouver, and Russ’ dream vacation- Disneyland. No matter what they did together, they always had fun. They also loved biking all over Lethbridge. Russ and Roxy loved each other and always looked out for one another.
Besides his loving wife, Roxy Hudson, Russ is survived by his mom, Bobbie Nicholson; aunts Ruth Nicholson, Mardel Nicholson; uncle Rick (Susan) Nicholson; as well as numerous cousins, friends and one VERY special fur kid, Peanut (the min pin).
He was predeceased by his dad James Robert William Hudson; mother-in-law Annette Clarke; father-in-law Doug Clarke; and aunt and uncle Dee and Marcel Cote.
Russ will be remembered with love by his family and friends.
