Patricia ‘Fay’ Buskey (nee Miller) passed away at age 84, on December 10, 2022 at Poplar Ridge Pavilion, in Trail, BC. She was born on January 2, 1938 in Hafford, Saskatchewan to parents Dennis and May Miller. Fay became an older sister in 1941 with the birth of her brother Dale. The family moved to Fruitvale in 1942, and 4 became 5 in 1950 as Fay’s younger sister Colleen was born. She married Donald Buskey in 1958 and had 3 children, whom she raised in Fruitvale.
She is survived by her 3 children; Dori (Frank), Vicki (Brian), and Jason (Betty) as well as 4 grandchildren; Charlene (Ron), Marty, Tara, Kasey, and 1 great-grandchild, Jace. She is also survived by her sister Colleen (Wayne), her 2 nieces Robyn (Rylan), Nicky, and 1 great-nephew Jordy. She is predeceased by both of her parents, her brother Dale (Dianne) and unfortunately her grandson Errol in 2021.
Fay had a lifelong love for animals, raising many horses, cats, and guinea pigs, as well as breeding West Highland White Terriers. She enjoyed her time doing puzzles, playing Mahjong on her computer and reading. Fay was such a kind soul, she cared so deeply for those around her, and she always found the best in everyone.
We would like to thank everyone who knew Fay over the years for the many fond memories that she shared with us all, and the Beaver Valley congregation of Jehovah Witness’s for their friendship, kindness, and support to our mother. She will be dearly missed.
As per Fays’ request, there will be no service in her honour. Kole Roth of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
