Passed away September 25, 2022 after a courageous battle with bone cancer at the St. Catharines hospital in his 84th year. Loving husband and best friend of Diane for 60 years. Also grieving are son Barry of Redmond WA and granddaughters Adrienne of Boulder CO and Madeline of Redmond, sister Lenore and brother-in-law Bill Gibson of Smiths Falls, sister-in-law Kathy Ricketts of Fredericton and her sons and their families; Rob of Hanwell NB and Jon of Burlington.
Bill was born in Toronto and moved to St. Catharines to be married. He retired as a supervisor at General Motors after 30 years of service in 1992, and has since enjoyed traveling and holidays at the cottage, in Myrtle Beach and Mesa Arizona.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bill’s life for family and friends will take place on Thursday, October 27 from 2:00 – 5:00 at the Best Western Rose City Suites, 300 Prince Charles Drive in Welland.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society; Musculoskeletal research (including bone and Sarcoma cancers.)
