With great sadness the family announces that Wendy Elizabeth Lang of Berwick passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the age of 63. Loving wife of Roy Lang for nearly 37 years. Devoted mother of Amanda Alexander (Eric) of Williamsburg and Britta Claessen (Chris) of Casselman. Cherished grandma of Jackson and Issac Claessen. Beloved sister of Ian Lang (Diane) of Finch and Judy Ouderkirk (Jeffrey) of Crysler and niece of Gary Hewston (Colette) of Barhaven. Daughter-in-law of Pat Lang of Finch and sister-in-law of Blaine Lang (Anne-Marie McNamee Duguay) of Missisauga, David Lang (Sharon) of Hamilton, Pattie Atherton (Ian) of Burlington and Dale Dingwall of Finch. She was predeceased by her parents Stirling and Daryl Lang, her father-in-law Earl Lang and her sister-in-law Wendy Dingwall. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Wendy was proudly raised in Avonmore and moved to Berwick where she lived with Roy and raised their two girls. She was a retired employee of Bell Canada where she worked for over 34 years. After her retirement she spent many hours doing her favourite hobby, crafting projects on her sewing machine. Wendy was a member of St. Luke’s-Knox Presbyterian church where she loved to share her gift of music by playing the organ and singing. Wendy loved to travel and would take the opportunity to see new places any chance she could. She adored her two special boys Jackson and Issac and treasured every minute spent with them. Wendy’s sweet, compassionate personality and loving smile will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Arrangements
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s-Knox Presbyterian Church in Finch on Friday, May 27th at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will be at Paul’s Hill Cemetery, Avonmore. Donations to St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church or the Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
