Obituary
STILLMAN, Wanda – Peacefully, in her sleep, Wanda Stillman, nee Janot passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the impressive age of 100. Wanda was born on August 27th, 1922 to Johan and Wilhelmine Janot (Gerdel) in Germany. She became a nurse for the Red Cross, in World War II, where she met her husband, Joseph Patrick Stillman. After the war, they immigrated to and built their life together, in Canada. Wanda had a passion for gardening, which continued well into her late 80’s. She also enjoyed fishing and dancing. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Johan and her mother, Wilhelmine, her brothers Edmund, Alfred and Gustav, her sisters Emmi and Krystal, as well as by her husband Joseph. She is survived by her sisters Martha and Elli, her nieces in Canada, Debbie and Cathy and their families, as well as several nieces and nephews who remain in Germany. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 6th, 2023 at 1 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St James St at Richmond, London, ON. Entombment Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. As Wanda loved flowers, they are always appreciated, alternatively she would have approved of any contribution to the Alzheimer Society.
