It is with much sadness, the family of Walter Alvah Ching announce his passing which occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Souris Hospital on Monday, July 11, 2022. He was aged 78 years of Souris, PE. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years Donna (nee Coffin) and will be forever loved by his sons David (Darlene), Clarke (Michelle) and Duane (Julie).
Walter will forever be remembered as a most caring grampie to Abigail, Kelsey, Meghan, Calvin, Emily and Drew. He is survived by his dear sister Betty Bruce (Merton), brother-in-law Douglas Coffin and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lowell and Florence Ching and sister-in-law Tillie Coffin. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care that was given to Walter by the Souris Paramedics, Dr. Berrow and the entire nursing staff of the Souris Hospital and Home Care.
A funeral will be celebrated at the Kingsboro Baptist Church on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00am with interment to follow in the Kingsboro Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at Dingwell Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5-8pm. If so desired, donations in memory of Walter can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital or Souris Home Care) and are appreciated by the family.
