Obituary
Violet “Vi” passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on August 12, 2022. Born in Hudson Bay Junction, Saskatchewan, on August 7, 1937, Violet Emmeline Sanderson (née Belrose) of Owen Sound, was in her 86th year.
Beloved wife of the late Frederick “Sandy” Sanderson (July 2017). Dearly loved mother of Robert (Mary-Anne), Catherine (Barry), and Juliette. Cherished grandma of Cody (Alisa), and great-grandma of Bennett. Dear sister of Ruby, Daisie and Iola.
Predeceased by her parents Edwin and Ida Belrose, brothers Harold, Roy, Melvin, Eddie, Lyle, Cliff, Bruce, and by her sisters Hilda, Lillian and Lelia.
Cremation is taking place and memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 7 – 9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Violet’s life will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 1049 4th Ave. E., Owen Sound, on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
