Kirik, Valerie Jean (nee Miller) born December 3, 1929, passed away Oct 27, 2022. She was born and raised in Ponoka, Alberta.
She moved to Edmonton where she worked as a secretary, she then met Donald Kirik, and they were married in 1952.
Her father, Robert Miller emigrated from Scotland in 1920 and served in both World Wars. Her mother, Maybelle Morris emigrated from Nebraska by wagon train in the late 1880s.
Valerie was a homemaker and started working as a sales clerk at Birk’s Diamonds in the late 1970s until the mid-1990s.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and Richard, and nieces and nephews; she will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Valerie is predeceased by her husband Don, and her two brothers Lindsey and Robert.
