Death Notice
RAUCH, Siegfried Ernst
With family by his side, Siegfried Rauch died peacefully and on his own terms, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 9, 2022. He was 94 years old. Sieg was predeceased by his wife and best friend, Margaret (Hamm) (1940-2019) and his sons Craig (1971-1984) and Mark (1962-2019). He was the much-loved father of Peter (Sylvia) of Williams Lake, BC, Phil (Inga) of Trout Creek and John (Cheryl) of Chisholm. Papa will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren: Melissa, Matt, Alec, Cody and Brittany and great-grandchildren Emmett and Violet. Sieg was the dear brother of Dieter of Switzerland and Hannelore Brey of Portland, Oregon. He was predeceased by his siblings Horst, Gerhard, Helmut, Hans-Joachim Rauch and Waltraud Ehrensperger. Sieg and Marg moved to their home on Hwy 522 in the mid-sixties. While Sieg’s work took him across Canada and often Bermuda, Tricky Hill was always home. He was an avid gardener and derived great pleasure amidst his gardens and orchard. The Rauch family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm and will be live-streamed (see below). Cremation to follow.
