Surrounded by her
loving family, Shirley Marion Whitlock (Ring), passed away very
peacefully at Pine Grove Nursing Home on December 29, 2022. Shirley,
the wife of the late Roy Whitlock, was born in Saint John NB on March
15, 1928, to her parents, the late George and Mable
Ring.
She is survived by
her daughter, Nancy Leece; sons, Leroy Whitlock (Pam), Brian Whitlock
(Maria); six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd
Ring and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband
and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Greg, Don, Gary, and
Eric Ring.
Shirley worked for
many years with Wilson Laundry and then at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital in the laundry department, but the job she loved the most was
being a wonderful mother and great homemaker. She was loved by all and
touched the lives of everyone she
met.
The family would
like to thank the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home for the wonderful
compassion and care that they provided daily to our beautiful
mom.
There will be no
visitation or service, an interment will take place in the spring.
Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 540 Woodstock Road,
Fredericton NB have been entrusted with the
arrangements.
If so desired,
memorial donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
