It is with broken hearts the family of Shirley Elwood Kelly announce his passing at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Friday, November 25, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 15, 1940 in Gray Rapids, NB, son of the late Lorne and Elva (Coughlan) Kelly.
Shirley started at a young age driving truck for his father then owned and operated his own trucks until his retirement in 2007.
Shirley is survived by his soulmate and the love of his life Linda Price, his children Deanna Sullivan (Glenn), Sonya Nowlan (Kenny), Keith Kelly (Charlena) and Kirby Kelly and their mother Ruby Kelly ,sisters Louise Robertson (Garry), June Sturgeon, Sharon Gallan, Rhonda Jardine (Lorne Amos), Kim Curtis (Boyd), brothers Ivan (the late Joan Kelly), Daryl (Betty), Allison (Lilah), Alvin (Sheila), nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, chosen daughters Michele Gillespie, Roxy Price, Sherry Mullins, Lana Price-Lyons and Angie Price.
Shirley was predeceased by sister Winona Gallan and infant sister Lois.
To honor Shirley’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A small graveside committal will be held at United Pentecostal Cemetery, Gray Rapids, with Pastor Graham Russell at a day and time to be announced.
