Harrison, Shay – age 33 of Brazil Lake, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2022. Born in Peterborough, Ontario on May 17,1988, he was the son of Marsha K. Harrison (Atwood) and stepson to the late Donald Howard. Shay was a kind soul who had a way to light up a room, he was bright smart and full of life. His shining personality was so contagious he could make friends with pretty much every person he met.Shay had so many things to be proud of, especially going back to school and becoming an oil heat technician, he enjoyed his work and took pride in what he did. He was a handy man and could make something out of anything. He was clever, witty and was definitely one of a kind. His soul was unique, you won’t find anyone who will shine as bright as him. Shay is survived by his loving wife, Alisa Harrison (Rhyno-Jacquard); mother, Marsha K. Harrison; sister, Dana Raymond (Dave Gagliano); grandmother, Evelyn Atwood; aunts, Wanda Atwood-Hazlett and Patricia (Roger) Patton; nieces, Katelyn and Madison Raymond; nephew, Logan Raymond; cousins, Hayley, Jared, Nicole, Tammy, Stacey, and many other cousins ,family and friends as well as his wife’s family who loved him like their own. Shay was predeceased by his stepfather, Donald Howard and grandfather, Sheldon Atwood. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A second visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service starting at 2 p.m. all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Keith Moore will officiate, burial will follow the service in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Donations in Shay’s Memory may be made to Nova Scotia Mental Health.
